...in the refrigerator!

I sometimes buy a yogurt treat with blueberries, strawberries and cereal in it.   I had to chuckle when opening the refrigerator door seeing this.   There sat my breakfast with a smiling face and a frown made by the fruit in a cup of delicious, sitting between the Hellmann's mayonnaise  and the Taste of the Wild dog food!    Interesting setting.

THE BEAUTY OF A LEAF

I went to get in my car and noticed a leaf on the windshield.   A yellow one with holes all of over and crumpled up as if to say "FALL has ended"!    Not only a leaf, but a tree reflection from a clouded sky above.   Much to take in with a shot of the camera becoming aware of outdoor beauty all over.
Pure heaven!

MISSING MY FRIEND

I'm missing my good friend, Ellen.   She was home for her husband's memorial, spending days together - catching up since her move to Georgia eight years ago.    It felt like she never left as we picked up where we left off, enjoying lunches, going to the Downton Abbey movie, spending some quality time at the Bausch house and reliving our times together in Maine.    What  fun it happened to be seeing her once again.

I drove by the cemetery near our house and what did I find?    TURKEYS!   I couldn't quite get a picture of them all because they were moving too fast so I just snapped away.   It seems there are a whole lot of little ones that just arrived in this world with their huge protectors overlooking them.

OUTSIDE THE BEDROOM

I look out our bedroom window every morning after pulling back the drapes.   Color strikes.   A bit of the outside world becomes a picture like no other.   It seems to make daily changes as the months go by and flowers disappear while new ones arrive.   The trees change color when the sun shines upon them.   I stand staring.   The beauty arrives whether it be a sunshine experience or a fog ridden picture, its charm never leaves.

A REAL WINNER

It's Sunday and we are sitting at the Dairy Queen dining on a delicious BLIZZARD when a car pulls up beside us.    The driver gets out.   I look over and see this bulldog staring into my open window as I eat each spoonful of that great tasting ice cream.    Spencer is whimpering.   The dog keeps looking.   I just had to get a snapshot as I studied his personality - kind, happy, comfortable.   You never know what you run into daily,
but this site is a winner!

Our garden is beginning to show some growth.   With all the colors, the bike once again speaks among those cherished flowers.   We see new beauty appearing every morning the sun arises and realize our work has paid off.

Have you ever thought you have lost something that you needed because you were going to forego an opportunity to capture something?   Well, I did!    Yesterday I went to Mary Jo's with the purpose of learning how she creates fabulous greeting cards.   I wanted to catch moments of this adventure on the camera.   I looked in my purse, no camera.   My coat pocket, no camera.   It's like losing something I totally use every single day.   I had another appointment so I couldn't waste time looking for the thing that I needed to record Mary Jo's procedure in making those cards.  I spent almost 2 hours watching her produce the most original and lovely pieces.   When opening the car door to leave, there is the camera!   Sitting in the sun on the car seat.   This is how my life is going.  I want to thank her so much for giving up her time to show me how to one day try this most interesting adventure.   Selling these cards at DownEast and Seasons DownEast, among other places, is a real treat to acquire such masterpieces.   Way to go, Mary Jo!

RED YELLS SPRING!

Already purchasing flowers!   RED petunias scream "pick me" as we walk through Barley Joe's nursery of beauty.
A RED truck, which I would buy in a heartbeat, sits on the porch of what used to be 3-Dog Cafe in Rockport!    Look at those wheels and the amount of flowers that would fit in the truck bed.

I always love to paint red flowers.   So beautiful and lovely.

And lastly, May is not even here yet and look our green-green grass growing already.   I can just imagine the RED showing up in that nearby garden.   It is spring and there are many things that tell you the season is taking over.
