I'm going to begin this adventure in Iowa with the Snicker pie that Mindy made.   I have never - ever - tasted such a scrumptious treat in my life.   Whenever I am home again, Mindy, I want that pie!    I also love those pie crusts.

Aunt Grace sits among all the cousins at our breakfast get-together which was an actual treasured treat.   They came from far and wide just to get in this photo.
I have  many more first cousins that didn't make it.
A few close ups make the day a special gift.

Then it was off to Waterloo, where Mary volunteers at the hospital gift shop.  They were having an Open House full of goodies!   This turned out to be a special treat before it was open to the public.

Sara, the manager, stands waiting to greet us.
And boy was there ever a lot of holiday things to think who you could by for at great prices.   I ended coming home with one of the gold bracelets!

Those treats on the buffet table were waiting for everybody to dive into.

We all had a ball shopping and tasting!

Friday brought a gathering of high school friends together, which is always a wonderful happening.   Rex joined us this time
even making the day MORE special.
Then came the birthday surprise which landed at our table.  What a treat that was.
It all tasted delicious!

Thanks to Rex and Marlys!

Peg, we all missed you!    Next time we are going to be dining with the boys.   It happened to be one great experience seeing all those friends again.   We graduated  in 1966 and I treasure those visiting times now.

What made this visit to Iowa even better was seeing my brother and sister, who I love so dearly.   That happening - one real treat!
