Getting ready for the Toboggan Festival.   It takes warm clothes with the sunshine helping out as winds and 20 degree temperatures greet each of us.    I have my long johns underneath my jeans, this very warm jacket, scarf around my neck, snow boots and those totally heated finger mittens.

Yesterday there was one HUGE crowd in attendance in Camden.   It's been so long since we've gotten back to cold weather with snow and happy faces.   We all stand watching as the those toboggans take off!

Visitors come from all over the United States to enjoy what this festival has to offer.   Oh, my, there was a huge crowd.   It's the 33rd year this event has taken place and 400 people participated this year.   WOW!

A slight break is taken from the competition when a costume winner is chosen.  I'm planning my festive wear for next year as I look around and see people having so much fun.   I rather like the whole family wearing sunglasses and warm red plaid ski attire.   But the dinosaur
sort of wins out in this contest.

Seeing friends in the crowd is a treat and those who are participating on the ski slopes are given a cheer.    All carried smiles on their faces.

I met a new friend!   Leon snapped a photo as we gave him a thumbs up.

Upon leaving we had a picture taken of us while waiting for the bus.  Do you see those smiles of a very happy day that took place?    We love participating in such winter events that appear every year in Maine.
