I had a visit with Doris on Saturday and because she and George eat out all the time I asked them what their favorite cafes/restaurants were.

The Block Saloon in Thomaston was mentioned so went there for Sunday brunch the next day.   Sat up at the bar and were handed a menu.
The menu was limited to 4 or 5 items and they change it daily.   But look what we got.   Is there ever a time when a scrambled egg tastes like heaven?   And the bacon thick and crispy?   Leon had a quiche that was nothing like we've ever tasted.   So, we thought we would split the dessert.   Oh...my...goodness.   It was cheese cake with whipped cream and strawberries.

Jennifer helped us learn about the place and

and explained the menu.   Prices:  $7-$25.   Everything is GLUTEN FREE!

There's a place to sit and have some coffee while meeting
friends and take in some conversation.

A TV with old HBO movies can be seen throughout the restaurant.

A glassed in room seats a party of 10 so you have your own private eating place.

The night time crowd looks like a hopping scene.

You never know what's going to be offered because the choice on the menu changes frequently.   So walk in, sit down and see what's special that day.   We are returning this Sunday to see what's on the menu this time.

Must get a group together and dine in that private room, too!
