SICK!

I've been sick in bed for one week now!   SLEEPING!   VOMITING!   Taking showers and drinking water and eating toast.   It started on Monday and now it's Friday and I'm feeling a bit better, but not enough but to get out of bed!   Spencer has not left my side, skipping his walks
which he loves so much.

While Spencer is checking on me, Leon has seen that I have been comfortable - changing the bedding, checking that some sort of medicine is taken, getting the shower hot and turning the TV down low so I can sleep.   SLEEP!
That's all I have been doing.

I KNOW that Spencer understands what I am saying because he is responding - waiting patiently for me to get better so we can once again take those long walks.   This is just an explanation why I have not been making my regular thoughts on the blog.    I'll be fine and back to normal - SOON!

Soooo sorry you are sick. Don and I have had Covid! He’s ok, but I’m still testing positive. UGH! I feel ok.

I don't have COVID. Every time I get that flu shot I get sick. I go for several years without it and am just fine, What's the deal anyway? I am better today after one week of not stepping out of the house. Still not totally recovered.

Barb, hope you start feeling better soon. No fun at all, but what a wonderful companion you have.

Feeling better today but it's only 8:00 A.M. I'm going to read a book today as it has been a week since all this took place. I hate being SICK!! Spencer is such a great companion and Nurse Leon is saving grace.

So sorry you have been sick. You are fortunate to have such wonderful caregivers to feed and comfort you in so many ways. Love and (distant!) hugs to you with wishes for a healthy week ahead.

Thanks for those kind words, Jeanne. You never know what's going to happen so we must take one day at a time with gusto and appreciate everything that is going on. I'll be alright! I KNOW IT!

Barb - I am so sorry you have been sick. I am also happy that you have helpers. I love this sentence: "I KNOW that Spencer understands what I am saying because he is responding - waiting patiently for me to get better so we can once again take those long walks."

Well, Linda, Spencer and I took a long walk because it is in the 40's today and that sun feels so good. I'm getting over whatever I had that put me UNDER for one solid week. Now I can get back to living and pay my "helpers" back! How does a Dairy Queen sound?
