SECOND CHEMO~

It's 7 pm and Leon and I just got home from the hospital. He has been there for 10 hours!!! Had his chemo for 7 hours then lab tests showed very high potassium levels in his blood and was sent to ER for another 3 hours. Leon called me around 4:00 and I went right over to the hospital with all sorts of things going through my mind. It took that 3 hours of treatment to get potassium levels NORMAL. Great seeing that smile on his face when I opened the door to his room. He's got to go back in the morning to check the potassium again. There is one more CHEMO treatment in 21 days and hopefully we are all done with hospitals. His face looks normal! Miracle!

I am not a good hospital person, Pam. But I'm going to be there for Leon. He's going to make it all the way through with flying colors. Many hugs!

Barb, Leon does look great, so glad he only has one more treatment. I know this is not easy on either one of you, wish I could do something to help you. I have you both in my prayers. Sending lots of hugs and love, Freda

Freda, we received your card and so appreciate it. I'm just hoping this gets over and we are back to normal. He had some loss of hair this morning - not much, but.... Leon is off to work this morning, working in the garden when he gets home. Occasionally naps, but not for long. Goes for breakfast with "the boys"! So, it's not so bad. The going to the hospital for a couple of hours at a time is what's stressful. He doesn't like that!
