PARTY TIMES BEGIN

12/6/2022

Leon's spot is the kitchen where he is creating our first
holiday meal of 2022 for a party...lasagna!

I began to decorate the house by bringing tubs of Christmas items down from the attic and going through all them, pulling out things I no longer need or will never use again.   And saving those articles that add a little color in the house.
Picture
After the holidays last year I bought inexpensive black and white things thinking this is going to be the color scheme next year.   That's what many of tubs contained - black and white.   I started in the kitchen.
Picture
Then moved to the dining room where the table was set in those colors,
using some new and some old I already had.
Picture
I even found black and white Christmas ornaments to add to the tree.
Picture
Then remember that long black tray that Le0n made this fall?   Well, it got used as a place to hold the hors d'oeuvres and later dinner, with black and white ribbons
and dishes and bows.
Picture
The wine covered glass shades were once again placed at the windows, but the huge bows above were purchased this year for less that $5.
Back to that tray.   A little bit of RED brightened with berries and RED dishes added a spark of color to the whole scene.

As I share this holiday dinner party I see neglect in taking photos of the meal or the guests or the laughter that also took place.   For they were the important
part of this wonderful evening.

The chef does the hard part. I do the fun part. I love decorating tables, Dianne!

Thanks so very much, Nancy. It's fun for me. I love searching for "cheaper" things that go together and then try to make something out of them. Hope your holidays are spectacular.
