MEATLOAF TIME

It was time to attempt my cooking career in tackling meatloaf as Leon and I both love it.    There were a whole lot of ingredients to put in that pan.

Then came the messy and uncomfortable time.   I'm not sure I will ever do this again!   What a mess.   Meat all over my hands!!

After putting it in the pan and adding the topping it got sent to the oven.

I thought it came out looking pretty good, after spending two hours while Leon explained why I put this ingredient in rather than another.   I learned about a small can of  Colman's Mustard!

After being put in the oven for an hour, all became eatable.
We dined on meat and potatoes.

Today that meat loaf was made into a pot of chili - with Leon in the kitchen...

and Spencer right there with him.    I don't think I will be making meatloaf again.   There were 11 ingredients in this recipe.    I work with four or five!

Try my easy family recipe:
1# hamburger
1 egg
1 Pkg. dry Lipton Onion Soup
1 can tomato soup

Add just enough milk and bread crumbs so everything holds together. Put in loaf pan.
Bake at 350 F for 1+ hours.

Thanks, Gayle! It looks a whole easier than the one I attempted.

Was that recipe in the cookbook that Leon got you last November? It looks way too complicated!

No, Mary - this was one of Leon's recipes.

Use disposable non powder glove gloves next time.
Great job!

I will definitely do that, Maryann. That was the worst part of making this recipe.
