KATIE'S FAMILY

"Welcome to Dallas" - or is it Wylie?   Jason, in his orange attire, was a treasure to see as Katie and I came home from the airport.
Picture
Katie has grown up to be a WONDERFUL Mother, great wife and amazing friend to many.   Spending time with her became a marvelous treat for me.
Picture
As you walk into the house you feel happiness all over the place.   Katie works at home so her office sits here and the dog friends lie in their beds!
Such a beloved spot.

Katie's and Jason's gifts are these two.   Colton is ready to burn up the world with so many sporting talents.   He graduates from high school next year.   Kamryn is in 8th grade and the whole planet belongs to her.    Both are working this summer,
gathering up some bucks to spend.
I was snapping photos of them throughout the week.   Colton got his haircut and Kamryn wears a bow.   One day she was working on Colton's
face in her charming bedroom.
Picture
I must show how Kamryn decorated her room with streams of cotton. The lighting  changed as the mood changed.
Picture
And their attractive bathroom changed into colors also.
How creative is that?
Oh, I must not forget the animal friends that live in Katie's house.   Cats:  Bonnie and Clyde.   Dogs:  Lily and Daisy.   All became a part of my life while staying there.   Following me around the house.   Loving it as I petted them.
Slipping them a treat against the rules!

For those in the family on a nutritious carb diet
these creatively made eggs took the cake.
Jason was busy and making some.   This is not hard.   I can do it!
As Katie showed me around we came across a place called Cruml, serving some very delicious cookies of your choice.   You could buy one or many more.    She ordered a waffle cookie with syrup, a chocolate chip beauty, blueberry was in the picture and I forget the first one.   (Katie, help me here!)   The cookie choice changes weekly.
Picture
Took them home and began tasting those enticing and savory pieces of wonderful -
one at a time!

We met Katie and Jason's friends in downtown Wylie to eat at a popular Mexican restaurant the last night I was there.   This town reminded me of LaPorte City, Iowa where I grew up - having the same small town treasures.   Only the old homes have been turned into contemporary houses and businesses.   Such a lovely place.
Picture
This restaurant has been around forever with a long line waiting to eat
the greatest Mexican food around.
Mexican choices!   Each sharing a bite here and there.
Picture
This sign sits perfectly in Katie's office.
It gets read every single day and certainly says it all.
Picture
The Wittenback home is such a fabulous place, decorated
beautifully and filled with love.
Picture
It became the trip of a lifetime for me being "queen of everything" for a week  because I got to see so many loving family and friends.   Having a ball with Katie as we shopped, ate out, toured Wylie, dropped the kids off here and there and simply enjoyed being together.   I will never forget it, Katie girl!
