Stepping into the Iowa house I am greeted by PACO, Billy's dog,
seeming to just be waiting for my arrival!
Then appear Carri and Oreo wondering who has come to their territory,
waiting to be loved by the new arrival.
I take a look throughout the house. There is fall magic everywhere.
Mary's creativity is flawless.
These may look like pumpkins sitting in the garage but they are not!
Kristi busied herself making roasted Kabocha squash. I've never tasted it before but it has become a favorite!
We took Annie to swim club to attend a 5-day practice and her older sister...
Lucy joined her an extra half hour with Water Polo in the picture. This is swimming for weekend competition. Both were in the water for a very long time - swimming back and forth practicing different strokes. I was so impressed!
What a great beginning to my stay in Iowa.

Quilting must be another love that Mary and Pam Richter share. Always a new quilt in the works at Pam’s. Mary’s are beautiful.

Oh, Susan, you should see all the quilts Mary has made! I have 4, but she has many more in the house. She's a master. I loved seeing you yesterday.
