FESTIVE DINNER PARTY

We spent Christmas Day at Kris and Mik's home for dinner.   Festive plates and a very lovely centerpiece made the table look like the holidays had arrived.   The table, dressed in RED, was just perfect for the evening!

We couldn't wait to dive into the eatings that sat waiting on the table.  
​Seconds anyone?

I got ahead of myself.   We all had a glass of wine before sharing that great meal.  
​The lights shone brightly upon that darling tree with a great reflection
​in the dark outside the windows.

Underneath the sumptuous tree stood caroling singers.   They could be heard in the snow and the dropped evergreen branch lying there created a winter setting
​just right for the special evening.

They were not the only carolers sharing a holiday tune.   The vocalists standing on the piano, with appropriate instruments, dressed in Christmas attire,
joined in those magical tunes.

Linda made a tasty trifle for dessert.   We couldn't eat all of it but
​ boy was it ever delicious!

The evening ended.   We all went home with some "Southern Egg Nog" and...

a tasty nut bread that Penny made.   Leon and I opened and sliced pieces (I like the ends) for another dessert when we got home and for breakfast this morning - that tasted absolutely wonderful.   We must get that recipe!   

There is just one more enjoyable evening this week as celebrating continues.   The holidays will end, waiting for another year to make its appearance.
