Yesterday Thanksgiving arrived and that's the time to eat TURKEY!
Boy did Rebecca ever do a wonderful job. I can't imagine what that takes - cooking it just right so it's done perfectly.
Jim became the master cutter with that electric knife.
I took photos of all sides that were going to be eaten.
It was down to nothing before all was done.
Then for dessert Helen made three pies awaiting to be cut...lemon, apple, pumpkin!
I got to try to the crust of each one and it was outstanding.
I adored the decorative napkin rings and...
the lovely centerpiece made it all more the festive. After all it was Thanksgiving!
But what caught my eye upon leaving was this pillow I absolutely adore. Wish I had found it - perhaps at TJ Maxx! Yet another wonderful November holiday meal it certainly turned out to be. I treasure these special days.
Thank you Kay and Jim for making it all happen.

Since I had a Friendsgiving at my house last Saturday and plans to go to my niece’s T Day celebration this Saturday, I had no plans for the day. Didn’t bother me one bit. But a neighbor called on Wednesday and invited me over for turkey gumbo on THE day. The gumbo was delicious but the best was the company. It is especially nice when one doesn’t have any responsibilities on THE day. I love having a party and love going to them. I know you do, too,Barb!

Oh, Arlene, don't you love those last minute surprises that turn out so wonderful? I love spending the Thanksgiving and Christmas alone with Leon. We play games, read, watch football. I decorate the table for two. When we were staying at the Bells we enjoyed Chinese and reading things we were thankful for that we had written every day in December. A quiet, loving day!
