We received the AAA magazine, a periodical I just love looking through it.   The topics are wonderful and give us ideas of where to visit all over the world.

Guess who appeared in this issue?    The baker of scones, Veronica Stubbs.   I've mentioned her on my blog before, but just had to do it again.   Her bakery is a few miles away in Northport and we make a stop each time we head to Belfast.  She offers 13 mixed varieties.  Best selling: wild Maine blueberry-lemon, raspberries-and-cream, cranberry-orange and ginger-lemon.  Leon and I delight in the cranberry and ginger lemon.  They are fun to serve at breakfast and for dessert with whipped cream and
nuts after a dinner party.

I just found out these wonderful mixes are offered in French and Brawn.   I must go and see what is there and if I can get my flavors closer.   But there is nothing like buying them already made at The Scone Goddess, eating the first bite on the way home.
Hooray Veronica, making it into the AAA Explorer.

We have three of the mixes sitting in our kitchen right now waiting to be mixed, baked and eaten. Yum.

They are just so good, Barbara. We make a batch of little ones and freeze them.

Barb, The Stone Goddess scone mix is not in Hannaford's but in French and Brawn. She's in small grocery stores all over the country. Good for her ! You can always call her and she will tell you which stores she's in, maybe Maguntacook Mkt.

Enjoy !

Rhoda, I was thinking of French and Brawn and typed Hannaford's!! Thank for catching that. I didn't know she sold it in grocery stores. I must check that grocery store before heading to her place.
