MADE MY DAY!

I received a real surprise as a car drove into the driveway and out stepped a former sixth grade student that I had many years ago.   Oh, my gosh, it was Heather!  A delightful and fun-loving person who I have not seen in a very long time.   I was teaching at Heights Elementary in Richardson, Texas when this young lady entered my life.

She has blond hair, rather tall, always dressing fashionably and spreading a bunch of “cuteness” with a loving smile.   Her pleasant nature offered a rather calming effect just as I remember.   Heather exists with a supportive family who always encouraged her to seek her talents.

As the years passed she went to college and became an artist, singer and song writer, finding herself performing in Nashville, where she now resides.   With the big time country singers, she composes stunning music.   "Her songs have been featured on the TV show Nashville and is now a staff writer at Sony ATV Music."  That magnificent voice was heard as she shared bits of a song.  This profession takes her all around the world adding magic to her talents as an award winning star.

We dined together at the kitchen counter, talking over old times and sharing stories about what former students in her elementary years were up to now.   Her visit also became a remembrance of those days when polished papers were due every week becoming the writing of music she now possessed.

Hours moved on sharing where Heather was going with her career.   She came at 4:00 and the clock read 9:15 in a matter of minutes.

I treasured her visit and will always remember that beautiful smile and loving hugs that were passed around - just like the magic she presented when in elementary school a long time ago.

*You must check her accomplishments out on-line under Heather Morgan.   She is also on Wikipedia.*
