A few days ago we were watching the news and I looked out the patio windows.
Oh, my! I sped quickly and got the camera. This beauty created a night beyond no other in its stunning colors of orange and yellow with trees seeming to watch it descend as it quickly disappeared into nightness.

I pulled up and parked my red Prius while playing MahJongg at the library one day. When I got out of the car I looked around and found two more red vehicles. White always used to be the popular color. Is RED taking over?
The Dallas Sullivans have arrived in Maine! Yeah! We went out to eat last night to catch up. I love it when our southern friends make it to the Bausch house.
Look at the beauty of that hosta! It's sits perfectly by the side of the house and screams pure loveliness. We got about six of these flowers from Martha and this is how they appear in our area of the world after being replanted. It's fun watching the flowers bloom as they are simply breathtaking.
THANKS, MARTHA! Having lunch with Kuhls at Applebee's when Jon ordered a hot fudge sundae after his meal. I could not eat another bite after those delicious onion rings, bread stick and that wonderful salad. But next time I will have Jon's happy smile
with a sundae for dessert. Have you guys heard of this very thin Sesame Bagel? I've never even seen it in the grocery stores until hearing about it from Susan on FACEBOOK. It's in the freezer in the bakery department at Hannaford's. It gets toasted and then covered in "labneh". Now, I had to look that word up! It is a "soft cheese made from strained yogurt, popular in Middle Eastern cuisine and can be used as a dip, spread, or ingredient in various dishes. It's similar to cream cheese but lower in fat and calories". Add it with some olive oil and you have what appears to be one great breakfast. I need to check with Susan and see where you get Labneh. I use peanut butter and tiny mixed nuts on my morning breakfast treat.
It tastes so good! It's time once again to check on those strawberries at Beth's Farm Market. It's a once a week purchase in the summer as we eat them daily. They are available during the month of July and I search for recipes using them. They are easily eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So when Mary arrives we'll be picking some up.
Celebrate National Donut Day by picking out your favorite treat and totally enjoying it. Leon and I are attending the Inaugural Rockport Donut Festival. It's going to be fun! After posting this I was told of the person who invented "the hole in the donut"! This plaque sits on a church lawn off Old County Road. Now just how cool is that?
Wearing stylish glasses and drinking fine beer. Nothing better than that
on a Sunday evening at The Eclipse. What to do with an old chicken coop...transfer it into a "puzzle barn"! You can rent a box for $1 at this road stand holding hundreds of boxes of puzzles.
This is such a neat idea. I think libraries all over the place should be doing this. |
