WRONG DIAGNOSIS

We had no idea what caused Leon's problems until the tests came back this morning.   He had a TICK bite that caused a rare type of infection that eventually attacked the lungs, the heart and the kidneys.   The nurses said we get at least one tick bite patient in the ICU every day.   Some patients are helicoptered to Portland.

He sat in a chair for dinner tonight...

and devoured a chocolate chip Father's Day cookie that Michelle and Jeff brought to him.   Hopefully this is his last night in the hospital.  
Spencer and I are just as happy as Leon is!
