Tuesday we began  planting the flower garden with Michelle's help!

I planted this row of  gorgeous yellow Biden's "Golden Empire"plantings.
Can't wait to see them all blooming.

Of course, Spencer must sit by watching us work and guard the huge blue tub of unneeded plant pots.   He happened to be there all day relaxing!

This morning, after a rainy yesterday afternoon, I walked around the garden to see how it looked.   Finding dead leaves and our first flower peeking out.

The first garden is almost finished.  We know putting these flowers in the ground should not be done til May gets started, but freezing time is over and we are ready!

Looking across the lawn and there sits the second creation, not yet started.   There are many Perennials  waiting to pop up, so this garden is not being put together just yet.   However, this year we are placing another Fuchsia.   So we sit and wait.  It's my favorite part of spring - 50 degrees and the arrival of new plantings.

Now we are just about ready to put this magical piece that Nan made into the right place.   It will add a bit of magic to the whole garden.   Making a new and different outdoor scene is the intent with surprising colors and adorable additions each year.   I can't wait to observe the monthly growth as the garden becomes in full bloom.

Barb, you and Leon always design such beautiful gardens! This year it is already looking like a great design and it will grow and flourish!
So good to see Leon feeling well and Michelle is a sweetheart!
Each day , it will feel good to look out your windows and see the array of color and blooms! I love Spencer so much, know he is happy to be outside enjoying all the activity and giving his approval!
Huge hugs

My Maine friends ar such a gift, Ellen. They are always there when I need them and happily help me out. Those flowers grow so fast. We are to get rain for next couple of days and that will certainly help them flourish.

You're right! Spencer insists on being outside with us. He stand at the door and whines when left on the porch!!

Love you!
