RIDE THROUGH ROCKLAND

I took a trip into the Rockland Library yesterday and as I was driving home I witnessed sailboats, seen in the harbor, covered up.  The masts sticking high into the sky just waiting til they get dressed with sails to lead the way from their relaxing position.   

Also noticed was a picture window which reminded me of the many 4th of July happenings at my cousin's home in Iowa.   I am not an antiques person but I had the time and the interest to check the store out.

This is what greeted me as I approached the entrance!

Whoa!   There existed a mass of everything.   A truly interested buyer would be spending hours looking around in this place.

Beautiful glassware and dishes sat all over the place.   I adored the cake platters and candle stick holders and gorgeous vases that greeted me, as they were pieces I often used when entertaining.

Hmmm!   Guitars.   I wonder what the story is behind these.

If I happen to purchase something it would be brightly colored glass flowers and many bookend choices to choose from.

But this yellow scarf caught my eye right away.   A little bit of magic around my neck in the winter would stand out draped on my coat.

That antique store offered many things I would buy - for gifts and for me!   It held surprises that I thought I never would see in the word "antique"!   I'll have to make another stop with visitors and antique loving friends.   Mary, I must check the price of window "flag holder" for your next 4th of July.
