NO TREATS TODAY!

This friend of mine has been a bad boy on his walk today.    Spencer got free from the leash and took off running as if he was in a speed race.   I followed him, watching where he was heading.   He would often look back at me and then take off again, going down neighborhood roads we have not walked before.    I tried to keep up, continually yelling his name and offering him treats without a bit of success.   After a mile and no Spencer in site, I called Leon to come and search with me.  Taking a side road,  Spencer appeared with two smaller dogs, just playing around.    I leashed him with a bit of trouble because he didn't want to comply.   Leon arrived seconds later and Spencer jumped in the car.    Once arriving home Spencer went to his kitchen treat drawer and stood there.   "Absolutely not!" were the words that came out of my mouth as I walked further to my bedroom,
ignoring this undisciplined pet.
MORAL of this story:   Get a better leash!
