Leon and I ventured to the Rockland Public Library to see a display of miniature books. I've never seen anything like this. Each book is expected to be no bigger than 3" x 3" x 3". Other than that the skies the limit! Sandy Weisman has been working in this medium for 20 years and is a pro at making such books. Shannon Kerner organized this event. Here are some samples of miniature books that were made in the latest get t0gether. I loved seeing this folded book... as Dallas girlfriends and I made a similar book when visiting Wyoming. These incredible samples showed a huge amount of written pages. My what a job that must have been. Take a minute and drop by the library see these books. They are on display til the end of January. "The Midcoast Maine Book Arts collective meets every other month with more than 55 members. According to Wiseman, the members' main interest is to work toward a collective exhibition". I think I have that little book in the attic among other things, Judy. Of course, it is a treasure like many you have created.
