LET'S PLAY CHESS!

I'm trying not to watch so much TV so a book enters my hand or "Let's play chess, Honey"!   After a bit of disagreement we ended up tackling the game with an 8" squared chess set.

So we began!    After one hour, both of us with three pieces left,
​LEON WON!   I remember buying 10, inexpensive, chess sets
when teaching 6th graders.   Whenever recess brought rain and we couldn't go outside, the boards came out and we drew names who was playing with who.    There were the kids who knew how to play and those who did not,
but were being taught by the masters.   The room was quiet.   The players were thinking their next move!

Next time we'll use the rolling chess board with bigger pieces.    It happened to be a wonderful evening of not watching TV and remembrances of those
​sixth graders learning to play.
