IS FALL HERE?

Last week I noticed orange leaves arriving on the maple tree in the front yard.   It was the last day of August and I certainly didn't expect to see the arrival of tree color so soon.   It's breathtakingly beautiful and sparks a lovely welcome to the front door, but in August?

I take a second look at the end of our driveway and there sits a rose colored gladiola with another sprouting beside it.   It's rather strange to see leaf change and flowers growing at the same time.   Does "little rain" have anything to do with it?    Sparks the unknown as the seasons come and go at different times every year.    There are trees with no leaves on them...is winter coming already too?

Wait a minute!   It certainly doesn't look like winter in the backyard.   Flowers and greenery are bursting with color.
