CAREGIVERS

Here I am two weeks ago in what's called an "easy chair" after a total reverse shoulder replacement surgery.   Many of you have already been through this, but I had great trouble wearing this sling and lying in a chair for what seemed
FOREVER!

Picture
An outstanding caregiver was right by my side meeting my every need.
(Who is the oldest in this household?!!)

Of course, Spencer was there, too - watching out
over me, trying to figure out what was going on.

I cannot even begin to thank everyone for all the food/surprises, the emails, the cards, the visits, the phone calls or FACEBOOK posts I received.   They mean so much and the time you took to "make my day"  cannot be described.     THANK YOU seems so inadequate, but hopefully the meaningful
hug when I see you will suffice.

Holy Crap Barb!!!! I am so sorry you feel like crap😢
They never really tell you how bad you’ll feel after surgery, do they? It looks like you have the best of care especially from your two “boys”. Lean into them. Putting your hand through Spenser’s fur greatly increases your serotonin ( the good stuff!)
I hope you’ll feel well enough for a little visit when I return from Florida.

No! They don't explain what hassles you are going go have! You must come and see me when you get here, Carol. I'll be so happy to see you.

Hi, Barb,

This takes time to recover from. I learned a lot of patience during my rehab time. I found using a wedge pillow for a bed pillow really helped. I'm sure you have received lots of great advice. Ha!! Take care, my friend!
Sending love and hugs❤️

But I don't have time to recover, Dorette! Too much going on. It snowed today! Such a lovely scene out of the window. Hug! Hug! Hug!
