ANOTHER LUCCA SURPRISE!

Friends just got back from Lucca where my favorite candy store, Cavalsani, exists in the middle of town.   The three years in a row that we have been there it has always been a regular stop.   We have become friends with the owner, Diana.   I've met many friends through Diana - going for a drink somewhere or marveling at a delicious lunch or inviting her into our place for hors d'oeuvres - became a routine.

I opened it carefully to see the eatings we so enjoy while being there.   Simply a great selection of the best candy there ever was!

It is a fabulous treat from JoAnn and Bill as they make this trip every spring.    It brings back memories of our time in Lucca.    Family arrives at the Bausch house this Wednesday and guess what we are having for dessert from Italy!    Tears well up in my eyes as the meaning of precious friends appear.   I must return to Lucca for a visit to the people who live there and return the favor to those who continually return with that
 scrumptious candy!
